Excursion New York to Philadelphia & Amish

Around 9 am we will arrive in the State of Pennsylvania and visit two very important cities: Philadelphia for the history and Lancaster, home of the Amish community. We will learn about USA history and will do stops for photography. We will commemorate the 4th of July by visiting Independence Hall, the center of the Declaration of Independence and the National Constitution and at the time the seat of government when Philadelphia was the capital of the country, and there we will see the Liberty Bell.

In the “old town” the Betsy Ross House who made the first US flag and the colonial Elfreth’s Alley neighborhood. From there to the central and modern area of ​​the city to see the emblematic building of the City Hall, the Park of Love and the sculpture of “LOVE” in the Downtown. We will drive along the boulevard in honor of Benjamin Franklin lined with the flags of the world that ends where the stairs begin and is the statue from the movie “Rocky” at the entrance of the Museum of Art.

Then we will visit the city of Lancaster, place of residence of the Amish, a Christian religious group, known mainly for their simple lifestyle, modest dress and their resistance to adopt the modern world and connection with the main cities, a community united through the family. Their transport floats called “Buggy” and their clothes will attract your attention. We will know their history, their customs, religion and education, we will see them in their work and residence farms. We will have time to have lunch in their natural style and visit a typical “market” where tourists see their crafts and taste their products. After free time we will return to New York to finish the excursion in the place that you determine.
